Throughout his over 22 years of experience in construction industry, Mr. Liu has devoted to facilitate development and innovation of surveying in Hong Kong.
Ir. Dr. Liu has over 25 years' experience in civil, structural and geotechnical design. He had been assigned as Project Director for consultancy agreements with Buildings Department.
Yvonne is an Authorized Land Surveyor with substantial experience in Project Management and has over 10 years’ experience in implementing GIS / IT projects.

Michael is the Survey Manager at Leighton Contractors (Asia) Limited. He has been taking the leading role in Hong Kong’s surveying industry for 21 years, which involves managing survey works on over 16 major construction projects locally. These projects include Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 2 – SkyPlaza and Passenger Terminal Building, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge – Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities, HK Jockey Club Shatin Racecourse and several major railway projects. Currently, he is responsible for managing and planning all survey and instrumentation works on West Kowloon Terminus Station North of the Express Rail Link connecting China and Hong Kong, with the contract value of over HK$ 7.8 Billion.
As the contractor of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge – Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities, Michael has advocated the use of BIM in this project. It is the first comprehensive BIM application of a large civil infrastructure in Hong Kong. The BIM values from its design stage to actual construction to future facility maintenance phase. He has also encouraged the adoption of technologies such as Laser Scanning as well as drones & 3D Reality Modelling. Together with BIM, these technologies help efficiently manage the project and create more comprehensive spatial information for the site.
Throughout his 21 years of experience in the surveying industry, Michael has been dedicated to promote the community of Civil Engineering Surveyors. He was the Chairman of Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (Hong Kong) in 2013-2015. He has been a Registered Professional Surveyor (Land Surveying) of Surveyors Registration Board since 2012. He is also the Member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineering Surveyors and the Fellow Member of Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors since 2011.
CloseDavid has over 40 years’ experience in architectural, civil, geotechnical, structural, building services design and project management. His expertise was shown not only in Hong Kong, but also in the large-scale civil projects overseas.
His early experience includes motorways and railway bridges in UK. He was the design team leader for Mass Transit Railway immersed tube tunnel, ventilation buildings, cooling water intake structures and reclamation on Kowloon and Hong Kong. He is currently the project director for Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities - Independent Design Checker.
David was the coordinator for studies to provide design parameters for maritime works for Lamma, Shajaio Power Stations and Route 7 (Kennedy Town to Aberdeen) and immersed tube highway tunnel in Kaoshiung in Taiwan. He is responsible for 3 port planning studies, 13 marine impact assessments, preliminary designs for immersed tube in Shanghai and Guangzhou of China, Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden.
He is familiar with the statutory requirements of Buildings Ordinance and Codes of Practices. He is a member of the Building Subcommittee attending regular meetings with Buildings Department and other stakeholders in reviewing building and construction regulations. He founded David S.K. Au & Associates Ltd. (DAAL) and Au Posford Consultants Ltds. (APCL) in 1980 and 1989 respectively to provide architectural, civil, building surveying and other services.
CloseIR. DR. Liu has over 25 years’ experience in civil, structural and geotechnical design as well as project management. He has been contracted for more than 30 residential, industrial and commercial developments in public and private sector.
Liu is currently the Deputy Managing Director of David S.K. Au & Associates Ltd. He acted as Project Director, Project Structural Engineer, Registered Structural Engineer for several projects over the years. He had been assigned as Project Director for two consultancy agreements with Building Department and for various private developments. He also acted as Project Manager to manage the term consultancy agreements with various institutional & utilities companies.
He is the Project Director responsible for three logistic centre developments and several residential developments with total contract sum over HK$8.5 billion. Besides regular office work, he also serves as committee member of various government and institutional bodies.
He is a Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE), Member of The Institution of Structural Engineer (IStructE) and several local & overseas professional institutes. Liu is also a Registered Structural Engineer (RSE) and Registered Inspector (RI) and has the capacity to carry out statutory duties under the Buildings Ordinance in Hong Kong.

She is experienced in the design, development and implementation of GIS/IT systems. In recent years, she has been actively participated in various BIM / GIS related projects, including those contracted by China Light & Power and Highways Department.
Yvonne has led the successful implementation of a large number of GIS / IT / BIM systems for the government and public sector projects. She has been working in government departments as well as private consultants and acquired diversified experience in communication with government departments.
She has track records on IT / GIS projects with government departments such as Planning Department, Housing Department, Civil Engineering and Development Department, Environmental Protection Department, Drainage Services Department, as well as Buildings Department.

Throughout his over 22 years of experience in construction industry, he has devoted to facilitate development and innovation of surveying in Hong Kong. He has been contracted to manage various public infrastructure, including the large-scale cross-border project, Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge, and Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities – Passenger Clearance Building. He has taken the main role of supervising all survey teams and facilitating the application of BIM in the above projects.
Recognized as an experienced surveyor for public transport infrastructure, he was also contracted by MTR to be the Surveyor-in-charge for the project of Shatin to Central Link Hung Hom Station and Stabling Sidings. His experience of surveying covers various sectors and different scales. From Discovery Bay Project, Shun Lee Tsuen Recreation Ground, to drainage channels in various New Territories area, he has provided professional survey works to the projects.
Apart from Hong Kong, he has also engaged in different projects in Macau, namely Venetian Resort Macao, one of the Asia’s largest Leisure Centre complex, with contract amounted to HK$9.5 billion.
CloseFrankie is a Senior Resident Land Surveyor in AECOM Asia. With his extensive experience in land surveying, he has involved in several large-scale civil projects, including Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge, for the construction of Passenger Clearance Building, Vehicular bridges and more.
He was the Principal Surveyor to manage the project of Hung Hom North Approach Tunnels, Shatin to Central Link. He has shown strong background in land surveying, with the leading role in Harbour Area Treatment Scheme Stage 2A and Ocean Park Master Redevelopment Project.
Over 23 years of work experience in surveying, Frankie has been contracted to several civil projects, including Infrastructure for Penny’s Bay Development (Disneyland), Shatin New Town Project, Kwai Chung Container Port – Terminal 9 Development, and Construction of Kowloon Station and Tunnel.
He has substantial experience using BIM with mega projects, including the Shatin and Central Link, and currently the construction of Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities. When saying about the future of BIM, Frankie believes BIM shall be applied in early design stage rather than during construction stage to resolve all the discrepancies, but still amendment should be made to the design in construction stage to save cost.
Frankie is active in promoting the community of surveying industry. He is a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and RPS (LS) of Surveyors Registration Board and so on.
CloseClayton is a Resident Land Surveyor in AECOM with 18 years experience in surveying industry. With the civil projects involved, he has shown strong expertise in surveying for largescale infrastructure, especially in bypass, bridges and tunnel.
He has been leading the survey teams for the project of Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns, Tuen Mun – Chek Lap Kok Link and also the Reconstruction and Improvement of Tuen Mun Road. He has overseen the surveying services for the project of Central – Wan Chai Bypass, which includes the building of tunnels and Island Eastern Corridor Link.
Clayton is active in facilitating professional development in Hong Kong. He is the member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and RPS (LS) of Surveyors Registration Board. He also qualified for CIC Certified BIM Manager and ICE’s NEC PM Accreditation.
CloseWith the passion to help unleash the potential and usage of BIM in the AEC industry, Billy has dedicated himself as an engineer in industrial and mechanical field.
Over the 15 years, Billy has contributed his diversified experience in the latest AEC technology, such as BIM, 3D Printing, Reality Capture and DfMA process in many iconic projects worldwide, for example OPUS Hong Kong, DDP in South Korea, YAS Marina Hotel in Middle East and Qunli Museum in China.
Billy embraces the vision to enhance the BIM adoption in every level, from management to frontline. He started to pursue his ambition in 2005 at the Swire One Island East project, the first BIM commercial project in Hong Kong. Currently in Hip Hing Construction Company Limited, he is overseeing all facets of work covering BIM execution on special projects including civil, management, strategic planning, innovation & technology performance assessment, research & development.
He also speaks at the Company’s conferences, University and Industry events, sharing his inspirations and exchanging ideas of BIM with other practitioners. On behalf of Hong Kong Construction Association (HKCA), he is currently a Co-opted Member of the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council (CIC), Committee on BIM Roadmap for a term until 2020.

HKICBIM aims to foster technological innovation and accelerate the adoption of Civil and Building Information Modeling Management in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.
The Articles and By-Laws set out the HKICBIM objectives of establishment, grades of membership, structure and management, professional conduct, and other rules relevant to conduct the affairs of HKICBIM. In addition, the By-Laws may be revised and supplemented periodically as and when necessary.
